Not every obese needs a surgery
Overweight category: BMI is 23.5-27.5
Lack of care towards your health will make you fall into the category of obese. A nutritional diet, which is well-balanced, can help you track your health and bring your life back to normal.

Grade I Obesity category: BMI is 27.5 - 32.5
From the previous category or stage, you can fall into this category, if you do not pay attention to your dietary and lifestyle changes. Grade I obesity is considered as a borderline, wherein treatments like Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Banding can help the patients.

Grade II Obesity: From 32.5 to beyond 37.5
It is this category that requires a surgical procedure, because during this stage, a patient becomes bedridden. Diseases, such as hypertension, Type II diabetes and cardiovascular diseases start making a home in your body. Physical activity or diet hardly makes any difference in this stage, which is why; surgery is the only way out.
